Positive Thinking PDF Print E-mail
In our world it is very easy to have negative thoughts. You might have negative feelings about your job, the economy, or society in general. However, the power of positive thinking can be the perfect solution to turning your life around. It may take some practice, but in time you’ll feel better about yourself and others. Have you ever been faced with a problem that you think is impossible to overcome? Instead of wasting time thinking and talking about how bad the situation is, put your mental and physical energy to good use. Insert some positive thinking into this scenario and you’ll feel better in no time. Let me explain.

A great way to react to a problem is to acknowledge it and then focus all of your energy on finding a solution. If you just concentrate on the problem and how horrible it is, you won’t make any progress towards rectifying the situation. If you put all of your energy into solving the dilemma, you will feel confident and happy. Here are some examples.

Do you ever feel like you don’t have any time to work out? You simply concentrate on the fact that it cannot be done and you constantly feel guilty about it. This guilt lowers your self-esteem and your poor physical condition makes you feel unattractive. This vicious cycle of negativity can be broken by using positive thinking to find a solution. Instead of feeling guilty, see this as a challenge you can overcome. Take small steps towards solving your predicament. Why not go for a brisk walk at night after dinner? Lift weights, do crunches, jumping jacks, or push-ups while you watch TV. This will make you feel productive and your self-esteem will build in no time.

Have you ever felt like you don’t save enough money? Instead of being negative and thinking to yourself that you are incapable of handling money, slap this problem silly with some positive thinking. Set up your savings account so that a pre-determined amount of money is automatically deposited every month from your checking account. Before you know it you’ll have a nice little stash of cash to call your own. This will make you feel confident about your self and your ability to prepare for the future.

Positive thinking can also help when you are actively pursuing a solution. Let’s say you are looking for a job. If you walk into an interview feeling like you are worthless because your previous job laid you off, this will be obvious to the person conducting the interview. If instead you walk in with your head held high because you know you have the skills and experience that are necessary for the job, you will radiate positivity.

Positivity is contagious. It has an infectious way of influencing people who are nearby. Have you ever been around someone who exudes confidence and charisma? That person can be you. All that is needed is a little positive thinking and you will be solving problems and achieving goals in no time.
