Short Term Goal List PDF Print E-mail
We all have goals in life. Some of them are big, but many of them are small. Sometimes these small goals may seem overwhelming. We may think we can’t finish everything we would like. There aren’t enough hours in the day, or we have too much on our plate are common thoughts when faced with these goals. When it comes to short term goals there are a wide range of what a person would like to accomplish.

Short term goals vary from person to person. I may want to get my driver’s license, you may want to lose 10 pounds, and your mother may want to read one book every week. What is important depends on the person in question. One thing we have in common is that we are eager to succeed in achieving these goals. It may seem tricky at first, but if you create a list of these goals you’ll be taking care of them quicker than you originally thought.

Many of us are unorganized or just plain messy. We can’t seem to wrap our heads around getting everything in order. This is wear cleaning up your work area or your living space is essential. You have to throw away or recycle anything that is taking up space and no longer useful. Why keep a copy book around from ten years ago that you don’t even need anymore? Once you create more space for yourself, you will feel more comfortable and willing to act on your short term goals.

Once everything is clean, you should go out and buy a daily planner. These can be picked up a local office and supplies store. They are relatively cheap and will help you organize your daily activities. This will assist you with keeping of the progress you have made at achieving your goals. Plus, it will help you see what could possibly take time away from accomplishing these goals.

With your planner in hand, you should write down a list of short term goals. This can be broken down into multiple lists. You could have a list for the day, week or month. It’s up to you what you think is best. A daily list can be great because you can cross things off as you accomplish them. A weekly list is good so you can assign tasks to certain days. Finally, a monthly list is good way to see how much you accomplished or how much you are setting out to accomplish during that time period.

Once you start this system and stick with it, you’ll be much more organized and successful in no time. You will be amazed at how quickly you are getting things done. Activities that you used to dwell over will now be completed in a day. You will have a renewed sense of confidence and you’ll be taking on more and more short term goals. Who knows, one of your future short term goals may be helping a friend with the very problem you used to have.
