Question: I am fairly young (only 25) and have already started to notice cellulite appearing in certain areas of my body, specifically in my thighs. I realise that I do need to lose some weight which I’m sure will help, but I was thinking that I should also start using some kind of treatment cream. I read about Sublime Slim. Is this product good? How exactly does it work?
Answer: Cellulite is a real problem for many women, and even some men, and can occur in all types of body sizes, overweight or not. Cellulite occurs when the fat cells in the skin ‘overflow’ and push out between the connective tissues in the skins layers. Because this tissue loses elasticity as we age, the problem worsens as the fibers become more rigid. Massage can help break down the fat cells, increasing circulation and helping rid the body of built up toxins.
L’Oreal’s Sublime Slim is a cream that is supposed to target the trapped fat in the cells beneath the skin’s surface by using caffeine as the active ingredient, diminishing the appearance of the dimples commonly known as cellulite. There is little evidence that suggests caffeine reduces the appearance of cellulite. Many creams include a number of natural herbal ingredients that they claim will fight cellulite.
With all of the different cellulite control products available on the market, there are a lot that are quite good–but you must remember to follow all the guidelines that come with the product in order to achieve maximum results. If you do shop for an anti-cellulite control product in a health store, pharmacy or on the Internet, you’ll often find hundreds of different brands containing a confusing array of ingredients. You may be tempted to experiment with different products until you find one that works. But this approach may be expensive. More importantly, not all products contain the quality and quantity of necessary ingredients to positively effects the size of one’s cellulite condition. That’s why you’ll need to do a little bit of research to find the best, most potent brand for your needs.
